MANDATORY projects
To be eligible for the MCQ exam, students must submit the two mandatory projects and have them approved before the exam. However, the following exceptions apply:
- Students who have already had two such projects approved in a prior version of the course are not required to submit them again
- Students who took an earlier version of the course without project requirements are not required to submit the projects

Exam
- Date: Saturday 17 May 2025 (see the DTU exam plan and your personal exam plan for more details)
- 4 hours written multiple choice questions exam (given digitally in both Danish and English)
- All aids allowed - no internet access (Communication devices and offline generative AI tools are prohibited). This means that you can bring your laptop with Python installed. If you want to bring books, notes etc. remember to download them before the exam (you are not allowed to access online versions) or to bring printed/physical books and notes
- Find and practice previous exam questions and solutions
- At the end of the semester, we will try to make an exam preparation café in the reading hall (læsesalen) of S-huset
Re-Exam
- Date: 26 June 2025 (see the DTU examination timetable)
- To register for the re-exam in the end of the 3-week period in June, you must fill in this form
- After the Office of Study Programs and Student Affairs completes their process and sends an email confirmation, you can see your registration at www.tilmelding.dtu.dk under your re-exams.

Exam Structure and Assessment
The exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions. For each of the questions, 5 points are given for a correct answer, -1 point is given for an incorrect answer, and 0 points are given for not answering the question. For each question, there is only one correct answer. Technically, the exam system allows selecting more than one option, but in that case 0 points are given.
The total number of points needed to obtain a specific grade or to pass the exam is determined after the exam in collaboration with an external censor. See the grade history
Language of the Lectures
Course 02323 is offered in both Danish and English. The English version of the lectures is held during fall semesters.
Language, Communication and Information
- All written material is in English
- Slides are provided in both languages
- The multiple-choice exam questions will be available in both languages
- Messages will be given in both Danish and English
- The course content is equivalent to 02402 except that two-way ANOVA (week 12 in 02402) is not included in 02323
- During the Fall semester, live lectures on Fridays 8-10 are given in English. For Danish lectures, you may attend the lectures of 02402
- During the Spring semester, live lectures on Fridays 8-10 are given in Danish. For English lectures, you may attend the lectures of 02402
- Lectures in Danish are available as online podcasts available via this link (recorded in Spring 2015), while lectures in English are available as online podcasts available via this link (recorded in Spring 2017). Notice that R is used in the recorded lectures, but starting from Fall 2024, the course uses Python instead of R.
