Preparation
- Install Python and Visual Studio Code before the first session. Follow the instructions of Python support https://pythonsupport.dtu.dk/install/python.html. During the exercise hours of the first three days of the course, in Building 324 - Room 50 (Capacity 36), there will be one member from the Python support team to help with troubleshooting/guiding with instructions to install necessary applications and packages.
- Prepare by reading the relevant chapters in the book each week and try to solve the exercises winthin the exercise sessions.

Exam
- Date: Saturday 20 December 2025 (see the DTU exam plan and your personal exam plan for more details)
- 4 hours written multiple choice questions exam (given digitally in both Danish and English)

- Exam preparation café in the Library or the S-huset reading hall (læsesalen) from 10:00 to 16:00 on (Date TBA). A TA will be present to help.

Exam Structure and Assessment
The exam consists of 30 multiple choice questions. For each of the questions, 5 points are given for a correct answer, -1 point is given for an incorrect answer, and 0 points are given for not answering the question. For each question, there is only one correct answer. Technically, the exam system allows selecting more than one option, but in that case 0 points are given.
The total number of points needed to obtain a specific grade or to pass the exam is determined after the exam in collaboration with an external censor. See the grade history
Language of the Lectures
Course 02323 is offered in both Danish and English. The English version of the lectures is held during fall semesters.
Language, Communication and Information
- All written material is in English
- Slides are provided in both languages
- The multiple-choice exam questions will be available in both languages
- The course content is equivalent to 02402 except that two-way ANOVA (week 12 in 02402) is not included in 02323
- During the Fall semester, live lectures on Fridays 8-10 are given in English. For Danish lectures, you may attend the lectures of 02402
- During the Spring semester, live lectures on Fridays 8-10 are given in Danish. For English lectures, you may attend the lectures of 02402
- Lectures in Danish are available as online podcasts available via this link (recorded in Spring 2015), while lectures in English are available as online podcasts available via this link (recorded in Spring 2017). Notice that R is used in the recorded lectures, but starting from Fall 2024, the course uses Python instead of R.
