  • Printed book available from Polyteknisk Boghandel. The new edition of the book contains Python as the tool and going through major revisiion. So, the digital version is strongly recommended.

MANDATORY projects

In order to be allowed to participate and pass the MCQ exam, each student must hand in two mandatory projects during the course and have these approved before the exam, with the following exceptions: Participants who have followed a previous version of the course without such projects or who have had two such projects approved in a previous version of the course are not required to hand-in the projects again.

Exam

  • Date: Sunday 15 December 2024 (see the DTU exam plan and your personal exam plan for more details)
  • 4 hours written (given digitally) multiple choice exam (in both Danish and English)
  • All aids are allowed, but no access to the internet (and no communication devices and no offline generative AI). This means that you can bring your laptop with Python installed. If you want to bring books, notes etc. remember to download them before the exam (you are not allowed to access online versions) or to bring printed/physical books and notes.
  • Find and practice previous exam questions and solutions
  • Exam preparation café in the S-huset reading hall (læsesalen) from 10:00 to 16:00 on Tuesday, December 10. - Friday, December 13. 2024. A TA will be present to help with questions.

Re-Exam

  • Date: For the course in Fall, the re-exam will be with the regular exam date in May for the course in Spring (see the DTU examination timetable)
  • Sign-up for the re-exam in the end of the June 3-weeks period is done via filling-in form
  • After the Office of Study Programs and Student Affairs completes their process and sends email confiration, you can see your registration at www.tilmelding.dtu.dk under your re-exams.

Exam Structure and Assessment

The exam consists of 30 questions of “multiple choice” type. For each of the questions, 5 points are given for a correct answer, and -1 point is given for a wrong answer, and 0 points for not answering the question. For each question, there is only one correct answer. Technically, the exam system allows selecting more than one option but in that case 0 points are given.

The total number of points needed to obtain a specific grade or to pass the exam is determined after the exam and in collaboration with an external censor. See the grade history

Language of the Lectures

Course 02323 is offered in both Danish and English. The English version of the lectures is held during fall semesters.

  • The multiple-choice exam questions will be available in both languages.

  • The course content is equivalent to 02402, except Week 12: two-way ANOVA is not included in 02323
